Why Inngest uses Resend to power onboarding and usage emails

React Email was so easy to use, that we naturally looked to use Resend for the simplicity of sending emails, and the code itself.

We use emails to send account onboarding emails to our new customers, as well as billing notifications for account usage. Our email campaigns are dynamic depending on account events that are triggered within our application. We send different emails depending on what they do, or don’t do in a specific period of time.

Our team decided on React Email to create emails with the consistent design and quality that we were seeking. React Email was so easy to use, that we naturally looked to use Resend for the simplicity of sending emails, and the code itself.

We shifted away from Intercom, and moved over to Resend to power our email sending. All of our emails are triggered by events in our internal systems, so we could easily send different test emails out by adjusting our event payloads. Seeing the emails and the sending events in the Resend dashboard ensured we had everything working end-to-end.

Without Resend, we would miss how easy it is to check individual emails and get notified of email statuses via webhooks. With these, I'm able to easily debug individual emails, and also have all of the delivery events available right at our fingertips. There is a lot of power and usefulness in both of these features, and we’re still just scratching the surface.

Because of how self-service Resend is, we haven't run into any issues at all. Whenever we did have any questions, Zeno, Bu, and the team have been prompt with support and product updates. They're all a great bunch!

Simply put, Resend is email with simpler APIs, better webhooks, and best-in-class debugging.
