As a developer, I live in the terminal. I needed a simple way to send emails without having to switch contexts. There were a few options available but I wanted something dead simple, with markdown support, a TUI, CLI, and the ability to attach files. Nothing like that existed, so I built Pop!
When it came to integrating an email solution into Pop, two things were critical. First, to build an excellent user experience I'd need to spend my time on the product rather than wrestling with SMTP configurations. Second, our users deserved a straightforward, no-fuss setup process, something hard to find with email API's.
