Unlike other components of your tech stack that can be scaled by upgrading a rate limit or adding more compute, email is a human communication channel. Humans are not machines. They require things like trust, personalization, and nuance.

Around 100,000 emails per month, inbox providers start to see you as a Bulk Sender. This means your sending is scrutinized and compliance is enforced more strictly. Things like DMARC compliance, domain reputation, one-click unsubscribe, and list hygiene go from ideal to essential.

Today, we are introducing a new plan that gives you the tools to grow your email sending and reach humans at scale.

What does the Scale plan include?

The Scale plan starts with 100,000 emails at $90/month and includes:

  • 1,000 domains
  • 100 team members
  • Urgent response SLAs
  • Dedicated Slack channels with Resend engineers
  • 10 webhooks endpoints with unlimited event types
  • 7-day data retention
  • Dedicated IP with add-on
  • SSO support (early access)

How will customers be impacted?

The Scale plan replaces all Pro plans >100,000 emails per month.

Existing Pro users will be on a legacy plan and can continue to use their current plan. Once you're ready for a plan change, you can switch to the Scale plan.

When will I see these changes?

The new Scale plan is available today.

You can upgrade your plan anytime from the Billing page.

Why the change?

The answer is simple - customer needs.

A growing number of customers are managing increasingly complex workloads, adding multiple teams, different email streams, and hundreds of thousands of recipients. This new plan is made to bring them the assurances, support, and quota headroom to scale.

We will continue to double down on making Resend the easiest way to reach humans, but the reality is that some senders only need a sub section of features, while others need more.

Looking forward

For growing companies, simply using an API to send emails is not enough. To reach humans at scale, you need a team of accessible expertise, adequate quota, and intuitive tooling.

Here are some initiatives we've been building towards for a while:

  • We grew our Success team to provide more expertise and cover additional timezones.
  • We released Deliverability Insights so email improvements are self-service.
  • We announced Broadcast Analytics so you can track your marketing performance.
  • We are publishing new content to update you on industry changes and best practices.
  • We added competitive response SLAs to provide the fastest support available.

We hope that this new plan will provide the right balance of features and quota for you to scale your email sending.
