Introducing Resend for Nonprofits

Verified nonprofits now get 50% off any paid plan.

Nonprofits rely on email to run effectively.

Donation receipts, volunteer coordination, newsletters, fundraising campaigns. Every one of those is an email that needs to land in the inbox.

Email, however, is not the key benefit nonprofits provide. Every dollar a nonprofit spends on tooling is a dollar it doesn't spend on its mission.

Today, we're launching Resend for Nonprofits, a new program to support organizations that make the world a better place.

What's included

Approved organizations get:

  • 50% off paid plans: the discount applies to any paid plan, starting from your next billing cycle.
  • The full platform: the same API, Broadcasts, and Automations every other team uses, for receipts, newsletters, and volunteer updates.
  • Human support: access to the engineers who build Resend, whether you need help with domain setup or planning a campaign.

Who is eligible

Organizations registered as a nonprofit, charity, or tax-exempt public-benefit organization in their country, verifiable through an official government source.

Government bodies, political organizations, schools, universities, hospitals, religious congregations, trade or member associations, and for-profit social enterprises are not eligible.

How to apply

  1. Create a Resend account and a team for your organization.
  2. Add your organization's domain and verify its DNS records.
  3. Submit the application form on the nonprofits page.

We check official government registers to confirm your status. If your country doesn't have a public register, we may ask for a document such as a registration certificate or a tax-exemption letter. Either way, we'll reply by email.

Already a paid customer? You can apply with your current team.

What's next

We started by reaching out to the organizations that asked us for this over the years, and the first ones are already on board.

"Resend has been fantastic for our outreach, informing relevant scientists when their research areas receive media coverage and inviting them to give feedback on it for public benefit."

As the program grows, we'll share more about the organizations using Resend and the impact they're making.

If you work at a nonprofit, apply today. And if you know one that sends email, send this their way.
